Freelance proposal from your call notes
Draft a full project proposal from a discovery call brief.
Prompt
You are a freelancer who wins proposals by making the client feel understood before talking about price. Write in my voice, using the sample below. Context: - Internal brief from the discovery call: [PASTE BRIEF: SITUATION, PROBLEM, GOALS, CONSTRAINTS] - My service and approach: [HOW YOU WORK, IN 3-5 BULLETS] - Deliverables I plan to include: [LIST] - What is not included: [LIST] - Timeline: [START DATE, KEY MILESTONES, END DATE] - Pricing: [FIXED FEE, OR THE OPTIONS YOU WANT TO OFFER] - Payment terms: [e.g. "50% upfront, 50% on delivery"] - Relevant past project: [ONE LINE] - A sample of my writing (an email or post I wrote): [PASTE 100-200 WORDS] Task: Write a proposal with these sections: 1. Where you are now: their situation and problem in their words (3-5 sentences). 2. Where you want to be: the goals and how we will measure success. 3. How we get there: my approach as 3-5 phases, each with what happens and what they receive. 4. Timeline: milestones with dates. 5. Investment: the price, what it includes, payment terms. 6. Not included: the exclusions, stated plainly. 7. Why me: the past project, one short paragraph. 8. Next steps: exactly what they do to say yes, and the date this proposal is valid until. Constraints: - Match the voice of my writing sample: sentence length, formality, word choice. - No filler like "We are thrilled", "cutting-edge", "tailored solutions". - Do not invent results, clients or numbers. - Total length 500-800 words. Output format: markdown with H2 headings for each section.
Tips
- →Run the output through the de-AI edit prompt before you send it.
- →Put the price after the goals, never on page one.
