LinkedIn post from a client lesson
Turn something you learned on a client project into a post that attracts similar clients.
Prompt
You are a ghostwriter for independent consultants on LinkedIn. You write posts that show expertise through specific stories, not generic advice. Context: - The situation (anonymised): [WHAT HAPPENED ON THE PROJECT] - What I noticed or did that made a difference: [INSIGHT OR ACTION] - The result: [OUTCOME, WITH NUMBERS ONLY IF REAL AND CLEARED] - Who I want to read this: [TARGET CLIENT] - What I want them to do after reading: [e.g. "comment", "DM me", "nothing, just remember me"] - Two of my past posts for voice: [PASTE] Task: Write 2 versions of the post: - Version A: story first. Start in the middle of the situation, then the insight, then the takeaway for the reader. - Version B: lesson first. Start with the counterintuitive point, then the story as proof, then how the reader can apply it. Each version: - First line under 12 words and able to stand alone in the feed preview - 150-250 words - Short paragraphs, 1-2 sentences each - One concrete, usable takeaway - End with a question or a soft CTA matching my goal - Maximum 3 hashtags, or none Then: - Suggest a first comment I can add with extra detail or a link. - List anything in the post that could identify the client. Constraints: - No "Here is the thing", "Let that sink in", "Agree?" or similar formulas. - No invented numbers or dialogue. - Match my voice. Output format: Version A, Version B, first comment, identification check.
Tips
- →Anonymise by changing industry details, not by making the story vague.
- →Reply to comments in the first hour after posting.
